WHAT'S NEW New Store Openings Adriatico
| A day after the inauguration of the country's newest president, SM Hypermarket also added another milestone by opening its newest branch in Adriatico. Like the Quirino Grandstand where the 15th Chief Executive was honored, the store was packed, mainly due to the myriad of Value Packs, buy-one-get-one-free offers and the convenience and shopping choices offered. And like the presidential inauguration, we had celebrities, too - Marian Rivera, Anne Curtis, Shaina Magdayao and Vhong Navarro plus a great supporting cast of the National University Pep Squad. the winners of the Hyper Songfest and our in-house Hyperdancers. It was a truly memorable week, both for the country and SM Hypermarket - it was the week when both made history. |

North Harbour
| Now, barangays in Tondo, Malabon,Navotas and Caloocan have a reason to celebrate. SM Hypermarket's 20th branch opened to an ecstatic crowd. Gracing the occasion were the honorable Mayor of Manila, Fred Lim, with Vice-Mayor Isko Moreno accomodating fans who wanted pics. Adding to the aesthetics of the spanking new community store were the faces of Jackie Rice, Isabel Oli, Iza Calzado and the winners of the Miss Philippines beauty pageant. Homegrown talent Cecille Patricio, a hall of famer of Talentadong Pinoy, sang for her ka-barangays. Entertainment from the young Hyperkids to the veteran Hyperdancers to the 2009 Hyper dance-off winners, the JRU dance troupe prepared everyone for the fireworks display that evening. Yup, SM Hypermarket North Harbor opened with a bang! |
Centris Station
| Good news for MRT riders. There's a new SM Hypermarket at Centris station along EDSA corner Quezon Avenue, with a connecting walkway that takes you straight to the store. Everything that you would expect from an SM Hypermarket is there - the Modern Wet Market, Big Packs for those in the food business, add-on services such as the ForEx, Bills Payment and Western Union outlet, and of course, our different brand of customer service. No need to carry your groceries in the train when coming from the office; no worries if you want to pick up a few snacks for the kids at home. There's a new SM Hypermarket right on your final stop. |
Rosales
| A few months ago, the country was devastated by storms "Ondoy" and "Peping", and among those that were affected was our branch in Rosales. The extensive damage caused by the floods forced us to shut down the store temporarily. But there always is light at the end of the tunnel., and just after a month, the 'new' SM Hypermarket Rosales re-opened, much to the delight of the Pangasinan crowd. Adding to that special day's festivities was a live coverage of 'Umagang Kay Ganda', with Ms. Winnie Cordero staying on to give a cooking demonstration in the afternoon. Dino Guevarra and the Hyperdancers took their act to Rosales, and the reception was unbelievable. A toast to the staff of our Rosales branch for helping us rise above the storm; and a Merry Christmas to the people of Pangasinan, who now are assured of a wonderful Noche Buena, courtesy of SM Hypermarket. |
Novaliches
| Quezon City went supernova last November 5 when the latest SM Hypermarket along Quirino Highway,Novaliches opened it's doors to the public. And why not? Supercelebs Marian Rivera and Dino Guevarra were on hand to welcome the throng of eager shoppers who waited for the special moment, and they weren't disappointed. They were met with our Value Packs and Buy-one-take-one items at the promo area, our Big Packs and Modern Wet Market. Others engaged in Stargazing as Dino Guevarra showed off his dance moves with our Hyperdancers. Carla Abellana and Alfred Vargas dropped in to wow the crowd some more, and the winners of the Hyper Songfest in Makati showed off the skills that made them champs. The dancing, the singing and of course, the shopping made for a grand afternoon for the Nova crowd. |
