T'was a hot and spicy afternoon at the Community Corner in SM Hypermarket Fairview when Chef James Worrasaran of Thai Darah restaurant cooked up authentic Thai dishes like Papaya salad, Crab Fried Rice and Spicy Shrimp soup. The proceedings were taped by an NBN-4 crew and will be shown in "Entertainment Asia".
Australian Beef and Lamb Workshop
Shoppers of SM Hypermarket Clark were in the presence of food greatness recently, when Barry Lloyd spent an afternoon in the branch conducting a workshop on Australian meat. Everything from preparation to meat safety and cutting techniques were covered by the Master Butcher, and all who attended went home that day with a chockful of new knowledge and a huge craving for steak.

With Chef Bruce Lim at the helm, shoppers were treated to delicious Chinese dishes and were taught how to prepare them the authentic way - just in time for our welcome celebration of the year of the Tiger.
Great Steaks The Aussie Way
Australia is known for producing the finest meat products in the world, so it was an honor for everyone at Fairview to have 2 guys from the land down under at our Community Corner teaching shoppers the best way to prepare the best steaks. Greg Davis and Jayson Penny donned their aprons and prepared steak and roast beef from the Dinelli brand, available at SM Hypermarket. Those Aussies sure know how to cook 'em.
Super Chefs Cooking Demo Photos
Our shoppers thoroughly enjoy watching the best chefs in the land cook up a storm in our Super Chef series, but recently, it was their turn to wow us with their culinary skills. Teams of students, restaurant owners and housewives joined our Super Chef Cookfest in various branches, where they had to buy ingredients, cook and plate a dish in just 45 minutes, using a surprise ingredient. The best and quickest cooks in the Community came out on top, but what everyone, including the judges, enjoyed, was tasting the delicious dishes that were done in a flash.Click to view events pictures.
