Need help with organizing those small things around the house? Here are some tips to keep your home spic and span all the time.

#1: ODOR-BUSTER
If your suitcase is starting to smell awful, let it "breathe" for a few days. Fill it up with crumpled newspaper, close the suitcase and leave it for a few days. Change the newspaper every 2 to 3 days, and repeat procedure until the musty odor is gone.

#2: SEPARATE CHOPPING BOARDS
To ensure that you're not spreading germs and bacteria when preparing food, keep two cutting boards — one for raw meat, poultry and seafood, and another for breads, fruits and vegetables.

#3: KEEP THAT BOTTLE INTACT!
To keep your wine bottles and drinking glasses from breaking when in storage or when you're packing them, cover each bottle or glass with old socks. That should provide good cushion for the breakables.

#4: SOFT CORKS
When corks are too big to go into a bottle, throw them into hot water for a few seconds and they will soften. Soft corks will easily fit into a bottle opening.

#5: INSTANT SILVER CLEANER
If you're out of silver cleaner and you need to touch up a tarnished spot quick, rub it with toothpaste.

#6: DON'T BLINK!
Don't get caught on camera with your eyes closed ever again! As you say 'cheese' before a shot is taken, remember to gaze just above the photographer and not directly into the camera lens to keep yourself from blinking.

#7: CHROME POLISHER
Aside from keeping skin baby soft, baby oil can be used to shine chrome surfaces. Apply a dab of baby oil on a cotton cloth and use it to rub faucets.

#8: EGGS-TRA CARE
To keep eggs fresh longer, refrigerate them as soon as you buy them. But don't keep them in the door's eggs-keeper, where warm kitchen air will heat them every time you open the fridge. Instead, keep them in the main compartment.

#9: KEEP IT IN PLACE
To keeps rugs in place, stick pieces of Velcro to the floor and to the bottom of the rug.

#10: THREADING A NEEDLE
Finding difficulty threading a needle? Spray the tip of the thread with a quick shot of hairspray. When dry, the stiff end will easily slide through the eye of the needle.

#11: FRUIT TREATS
Save excess juice from a can of pineapple or fruit cocktail. Pour it into popsicle molds and freeze. You'll have fruity pops for free.

#12: REMOVING STUBBORN INK MARKS
If soap and water cannot remove stubborn ink marks and sticky bandage residue from your skin, use a cotton pad dipped in nail polish remover.

#13: CLEANING MAKEUP BRUSHES
Get rid of bacteria that may reside in your makeup brushes. Clean them regularly — run the bristles under running water, then lather up with a drop or two of shampoo, and rinse well. Squeeze out all excess water and air-dry.

#14: GET GREASE OFF YOUR HANDS!
To get grease off your skin, rub your skin with a handful of moistened sugar granules then rinse with water.

#15: MAIL SORTER
You can use a spare napkin holder to serve as your mail sorter and keep your mail and bills organized.

#16: FRESH HAND TOWEL
Freshen your hands before dinner with a cool, citrus-spiked hand towel. Soak hand towels in a bowl of water squeezed with lemon juice. Then roll the towels and chill in the ref until use.

#17: COLOR-CODE YOUR HANGERS
To organize your clothes after laundry, color-code your hangers. Assign a different color to each member of the family and stick to it.

#18: DOUBLE PURPOSE RACKS
Wine racks can double up as magazine racks. Simply roll up magazines and slip them into the available slots.
